I recently had Rug’It tackle two area rugs that were very dirty from pet accidents, on top of everyday mess. The rugs were both light colored so the dirt and stains were evident. Really loved the personalized attention and conversation - they offer more than just wool rug cleaning! I brought Rug'it three small rugs (2 or 3 x 5 ish?) - one was wool/viscose blend, the other two were 100% wool - all were cleaned to my satisfaction. I will definitely bring other rugs to them when cleaning is needed, and will definitely consider their services when it's time to investigate other flooring needs. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and answered several questions regarding the cleaning process for one of my rugs before I brought it in. They clean the rugs at their shop where they have professional cleaning equipment, drying racks and fans. The good thing about this is that they are not limited to using small, ineffective portable carpet cleaning machines (like other companies that show up at your house to clean carpet). My rug came out looking new! Old pet spots and water marks were eliminated. Will definitely use them again!

How We Clean Your Area Rug(s)
We start with inspecting your area rug(s). We measure, inspect its fiber and construction before determining the cleaning method and cost. It’s important for us to know the condition of your area rug including if it may need any repair(s).
We use commercial equipment to remove any dry soils and all large particles prior to cleaning.
Next, we wet each rug and pre-treat any specific area(s) of concern. Our method of rug cleaning ensures that each area rug is cleaned appropriately and safe from dye transfers.
We apply the appropriate cleaning solution to break down grease and soils within the area rug. If the area rug has pet stains or urine, we treat it at this stage.
We rinse the rug again and squeegee the water, soils, and particles out of the area rug before placing it into a commercial rinser to remove any extra moisture or substance we could not remove by hand
The rug is groomed, the pile is combed, after it’s cleaned to set it in its proper direction. Once groomed we dry and position the area rug onsite to properly dry and ensure it does not incur any damage during the drying process. Not all rugs dry the same.
As part of our process, we provide a final inspection to make sure each rug is fully dried and cleaned as best as possible. If we feel a second cleaning will garnish better results and construction of the rug is not impacted, we clean again at no additional cost to you.
